Abstract

This study explores how arts-based pedagogies can reshape the epistemological foundations of social science education. It argues that knowledge construction becomes more dynamic when learners engage with creative processes such as painting, dramatization, and narrative building. These methods allow students to interpret social realities through multiple perspectives rather than relying on fixed theoretical frameworks. The research includes classroom interventions where students visually represented sociological theories, leading to deeper comprehension. It also highlights how arts integration promotes dialogic learning and collaborative inquiry. Students demonstrated improved critical thinking and interpretive skills. However, institutional constraints remain a challenge. The paper calls for rethinking assessment and curriculum design. It concludes that arts-based approaches enable a more holistic understanding of social phenomena.
