Abstract

This study explores the potential of arts-based pedagogies in fostering collaborative learning in social science classrooms. Group-based creative projects encourage teamwork and shared responsibility. The research includes examples of collaborative art projects addressing social themes. Findings indicate improved communication and interpersonal skills. Students developed a sense of community and mutual respect. The approach also enhances problem-solving abilities. Teachers observed increased participation and engagement. Challenges include group dynamics and assessment fairness. The paper suggests structured collaboration strategies. It concludes that arts-based pedagogy supports collaborative learning.
