Social Justice Education: Perspectives and Practices in Classrooms

Abstract

In an age of digital information, students need skills to analyze media critically. Through activities such as video production and visual analysis, learners engage with media content creatively. The research shows that students develop analytical and interpretive skills. They become more aware of biases and representations. Arts-based methods also encourage creativity and collaboration. Teachers reported improved critical thinking. Challenges include access to technology and training. The paper recommends integrating media arts into curricula. It concludes that arts-based approaches support media literacy.
